Guide

We recommend waiting to replace the heating element until it no longer functions. The heating element has a lifespan of 3,000–7,000 hours, depending on the power setting, how often it is turned on and off, and external stresses. A damaged heating element may show spots where the light is brighter, but this does not necessarily affect its performance.

As a rule, the heating element will not need replacement until the glass is cracked or broken.

The reflector background has two functions: one is to provide targeted radiation coverage by directing the rays to the surface you want to heat. The other is to deflect the rays to prevent heat buildup in the unit itself. The entire unit is water-spray resistant, and the reflector background should also be rinsed regularly to keep it as clean as possible at all times.

The reflector background is made of high-gloss polished aluminum and should be cleaned with detergents that do not damage aluminum, such as alcohol-based cleaning agents. If the reflector is stained, this is not necessarily critical to its function, but if more than 50% of the reflector is covered by spills, it should be replaced.

As a rule of thumb, you can calculate approximately 10 m² per radiant heater. This may vary depending on ambient temperature, distance from the object, thickness of the material to be heated, type of material, degree of coverage and insulation, and wind conditions.

  • In scaffolding, it will naturally work out to one heater per section, i.e. 6 m² per radiant heater.

  • Up to 6 heaters can be connected per distribution unit.

It is advisable to cover, as wind can greatly affect efficiency. Insulation, where possible, is also beneficial in terms of both efficiency and energy savings.

Covering and insulation can, in any case, be both advantageous and necessary, and this must be assessed for each situation.

If conditions allow, one may consider not covering.

The unit itself weighs 7.4 kg.
